Old Quad,
The University of Melbourne 2023

Scope of works:

Spatial design concept and planning
Suite of bespoke showcase furniture
Documentation for quote, production and permits

Ancient Lives, currently on display at Old Quad, The University of Melbourne, provides a glimpse into life in ancient Greek and Roman worlds. The exhibition showcases objects from the University of Melbourne’s Classics and Archaeology Collection and focuses on the themes of wine and wine making and Unguentaria.

The design of the exhibition utilises a suite of existing showcases and reconfigures them into two distinct clusters. Hohab created a suite of display plinths that display objects and their labels within the showcases as well as floor based plinths and signage blades to allow additional opportunities for didactic text.
